Glacier Lodge provides many of the amenities of a true Colorado dude ranch, without charging the high prices typical of such horse-centered resorts. It is a good alternative, and a bargain, if your interest in horses is occasional rather than constant. You pay for riding by the hour, and you buy or cook your own meals, unlike the dude ranch deals where horse, housing and grub three times a day come pre package in a very expensive bundle.
